2026-2027 Award Timetable:
Mid September 2026 - Information materials are sent to all Virginia high schools.
November 30, 2026 - Each applicant must submit his/her electronic application by 5:00 p.m. on November 30, 2026.
December 2-3, 2026 - The Award Screening Committee will review all applications and submit three finalists from each congressional district to the Award Selection Committee.
January 14-15, 2027 - The Award Selection Committee will interview the 33 finalists in Richmond.
Late January 2027 - Winners will be notified.
February 17, 2027 - 2 p.m. Recipients will be presented awards at a ceremony in Richmond. Principals and families are welcome to attend the award ceremony.
